Payback for Polanski supporters
The outrage over Roman Polanski’s arrest grows. A tiny but global movement aims to hold accountable those in the entertainment industry who publicly support Polanski. Someone started an online petition that states:
We, as entertainment industry consumers, are demanding that any entertainment industry member who has signed this petition immediately remove their name and publicly retract and condemn their earlier support for Polanski. Until then we will forever boycott the purchase or viewing of any entertainment work they produce.
It’s a big step to “forever boycott” the work of anyone who does not retract their support of Polanski. As of this writing only 298 souls across the globe had done so. Will this grow?
